Top 50 Gigs (1-50 order)
1. Motorhead -- Nunawading Skate Ranch -- Aug 1984
This was the last of four gigs in Melbourne on their first visit to our shores. There were skaters on the ice and 50 young leather clad Metalheads one line deep airguitaring in unison with Lemmy and co. who played like there was no tommorrow as if their lives depended upon it. There is no God, but if there has to be one, it's Lemmy.
Ol' mate Tofty was so ripped on mushies, he couldn't complete the 'MotorHeadtrip' and smashed the back window of our car to sleep off his paranoia psychosis.
2. Deep Purple -- Sports & Entertainment Centre -- Dec 1984
The short-lived triumphant reformation of the Mark 2 lineup.
l swear l had telepathic tutelage from Ritchie that night , l had fought my way to a position where l could see blood on the strings. The Fendair was employed with great dexterity.
3. Therion -- HiFi Bar -- Sept 2018
4. Metallica -- Festival Hall -- May 1989
5. Motorhead -- Pier Hotel Frankston -- Aug 1984
....the night Lemmy caught a bikers jug of beer and handed it back to him with a warning," don't do that again sunshine or l'll clock ya"..... the bikers laughed, but ceased their jug-throwing.
6. Ministry -- Big Day Out -- Jan 1996
A hot summer day of BigDay Outers witness Al(ien) Jourgensen and the Fourth Reich appearing onstage framed with a foreboding blood red sky, and a chilling reptilian exhortation, "it's a New World Order".
The Al(ien) is pretty fucked up these days, his power back then was transformative, fair to say he had a huge influence on me.

No superlatives do justice, l was transfixed by her beauty. when she sang Ballad Of Lucy Jordan , there were tears of joy, sadness and every other emotion in between, one of the most moving experiences l've been a part of. Her audience shared her laments and her tribulations and there was a genuine heartfelt outpouring of emotion. ....as Tears Go By.

you should move to the United States... bleeding hearts from all 50 states have officially outlawed all versions of this song. apparently, if you read into the lyrics enough, it promotes rape. i mean, if you REALLY read into and interpret the words to suit one's own purposes.
whatever. at least it's one less shitty xmas song i have to hear. i shouldn't have to hear any of them, and neither should anybody else.
p.s. - great and funny list!
Top 50 most annoying Christmas songs
It's that time of the year again when we are being bombarded with aural infections blasting from the speakers in every shop, every bus, every office, every café. Even though i tend to avoid all those places, i still can't completely prevent myself from hearing some of the most annoying and repetitive tunes i've ever heard. The only good protection that kind of works are earphones.
To relieve at least a small portion of my emotional pain, i compiled a list of the 50 most annoying Christmas songs that i know. I ranked them by how much they disturb me, number one being the worst song in existence. Some quite terrible songs are lower on the list because i don't get to hear them very often, thus making their annoyance factor lower. There are also songs that i don't find to be bad, but i hear them almost every single time i turn on the radio. Lastly, there are songs that i like more or less in the original version, but not that particular cover that i included on the list.
As a short disclaimer, i don't hate Christmas, and my intentions were not to insult or offend people who do enjoy this kind of music. I respect everyone's religious feelings, and for that reason i tried to exclude songs with religious theme as much as i could. This list represents my opinion towards music that presents itself as Christmas, yet barely has anything to do with that Christian holiday.
And now, the fucking fifty...
1 Mariah Carey -- All I Want For Christmas -- not just the worst Christmas song, but also one of the worst songs ever recorded
2 Wham -- Last Christmas -- holiday tune about unsuccessful heart transplantation
3 Kylie Minogue / Earthy Kitt -- Santa Baby -- both versions suck, so i give them a tie
4 Kelly Clarkson & Ariana Grande -- Santa Can't You Hear Me -- non-existent entities tend not to have the sense of hearing
5 Britney Spears -- My Only Wish (This Year) -- and even that is asking too much
6 Jessica Simpson -- Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow -- the worst cover version of the song and the worst lip sync in a music video
7 Burl Ives -- Rudolph, The Red-nosed Reindeer -- holiday tune about Santa's genetically modified bioluminescent reindeer
8 [anyone] -- Frosty The Snowman -- what's that have to do with Christmas?
9 [anyone] -- Santa Claus Is Coming To Town -- sent by the Big Brother and the Ministry of Love, oh, you better watch out
10 Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson -- Baby It's Cold Outside -- formerly decent song, ruined by pop
11 Brenda Lee -- Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree -- just a proof that you can turn pretty much anything into an xmas song
12 Jason Mraz -- Winter Wonderland -- during the global warming, not so wonderful, to say the least
13 Mariah Carey -- Hark! The Herald Angels Sing -- the WORST pop star in the recorded history
14 John Mellencamp -- I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus -- apparently you weren't good enough, so she had to bribe him
15 Christina Aguilera -- Merry Christmas, Baby -- not as bad as Mariah, but not much better either
16 [anyone] -- Jingle Bells -- boring beyond belief
17 Hanson -- Run, Run Rudolph -- the original isn't that good either, but the Hanson version sucks beyond what's tolerable
18 [anyone] -- Feliz Navidad -- have yourself a rocking mariachi Christmas
19 Bobby Helms -- Jingle Bell Rock -- untolerable
20 Mariah Carey -- Oh, Santa! -- the queen of garbage Christmas songs
21 Band Aid -- Do They Know It's Christmas -- "just asking, coz, if they do, we ought to sell them crapy merchandise"
22 Ariana Grande -- Santa Tell Me -- is Ariana turning into the new Mariah Carey?
23 [anyone] -- The 12 Days Of Christmas -- not even Stalin's birthday in USSR didn't last that long
24 Clay Aiken -- Silver Bells -- it's impossible they were being serious with this
25 Mariah Carey -- Joy To The World -- and misery to the unfortunate listeners
26 Burl Ives -- Holly, Jolly Christmas -- too much of Burl to be in a holly, jolly mood
27 Kelly Clarkson -- Underneath The Tree -- where the mushrooms grow....
28 Bing Crosby -- White Christmas -- i used to think this song was alright, but then i heard it for one million times
29 [anyone] -- We Wish You A Merry Christmas -- over recorded to the point where it becomes intoxicating
30 Elvis Presley -- Here Comes Santa Claus -- shoot him!!
31 [anyone] -- The Little Drummer Boy -- rum-pum-pum-pum
32 David Seville -- The Chipmunk Song -- what the fuck does this have to do with Jesus' birthday?
33 Destiny's Child -- Carol Of The Bells -- original melody is good, but it's criminally overused, and this cover is the worst
34 Elton John -- Step Into Christmas -- or how about Step ONTO Christmas!
35 Elvis Presley -- Blue Christmas -- if only there were Red Christmas too, we could have a tricolour
36 Andy Williams -- It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year -- for you, Andy, not for everyone
37 Michael Bolton -- Joy To The World -- brought to you by SMSP, buy used on Amazon for $6.22
38 Chris Brown -- This Christmas -- bully, harasser and a multiple convict wishes you joyful and pleasant holidays
39 Twisted Sister -- O Come All Ye Faithful -- coming up next from Twisted Sister: Have Yourself a Holly Jolly Hanukkah
40 Hilary Duff -- Santa Claus Lane -- lame should be the title
41 Wizzard -- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday -- never ending madness
42 Rza -- Deck The Halls -- one can only hope this was meant to be a parody
43 Justin Bieber -- Mistletoe -- go fuck yourself, Justin
44 U2 -- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) -- Bono joining the consumerism party
45 Relient K -- Sleigh Ride -- alternate title: pimp ma sleigh ride
46 New Kids On The Block -- This One's For The Children -- as if anyone else is listening to your music....
47 Michael Buble -- It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas -- you noticed the light pollution too?
48 John Lennon -- Happy Xmas (War Is Over) -- popular during Indo-Pakistani War of 1971
49 Paul McCartney -- Wonderful Christmastime -- a holiday strike of Paul's earworm
50 The Carpenters -- Merry Christmas Darling -- the only tolerable song on the list, i had to make it 50 somehow
