A challenge!
So, I've been building a few playlists of 'popular' (i.e. non-classical) music in Amazon Prime. I've done it by decades so far (50s to 2010s) but want to rearrange the playlists into something named more meaningfully. Anyone feel like contributing ideas? I don't really want to get into ever more specific names of niche genres if possible, just some memorable, descriptive and preferably funny names.
It's sad to see the way popular music has declined in recent decades. Personally I think digital music shows the most promise of today's popular genres and there's really great art in some of it. But I really miss the animating immediacy of 'proper' music, for want of a better word. We're all frustrated by aspects of today's culture, I guess, but maybe this is an opportunity for musicians to experiment and move in new directions. (Forgive me, I'm congenitally optimistic and can be glib...)

i don't think any of us particularly disliked the music selections.. just the boring playlist titles you had for them.

10's: so, wait. my choices are completely digital, computer-made crap, or a bunch of hipsters playing acoustic guitar, trying (and failing) to be like Bob Dylan?

No apology necessary. I can’t see writing that small so I have no idea what songs were even on the list. Just taking the piss out of you--(as those Irish are prone to say). It’s a soap box. Ya got to expect some idiot to get up and blah blah blah. No offense meant. Peace and punk rock out!
