Bugged profile? -always displayed as "Online Now".

Hi. It seems my profile is constantly displayed as "online now". I've turned off my computer and tested to check my profile out on a different computer using a proxy without javascript or cookies enabled, and of course without logging in, and also various other proxies; even did a WGET from a server computer, and all displays that I'm still "online now" when not evening having a browser open, so I must say I suspect something is wrong.

The only alternative I can think off is that tastebuds.fm had a free tracking cookie for me which had your server displayed me as online for just having a web browser up, and that it takes a while before tastebuds decides that I'm actually offline, i.e. by use a 15 min timeout-function (and which is used even after having used the Logout function)... :)

more specific (it's a little complicated): click Internet (within your Google Chrom esp.)-Proxy server properties/Managing plugins/in types of plug-ins click those connected with Security of being following/and than click on the right side "Activate". What is strange, that I must repeat it constantly, because it disactivate automatically,

Hello,
I resolved my problem of being constantly online. I've changed settings in Google Chrome (Proxy server settings) on maximum safety level. Apart from that I have plug-in http://www.avg.com/us-en/do-not-track, so I know now which websites are following me:-)

Hey, looks like you went to a bit of effort debugging there. Kudos!

We do base whether or not we display someone as online around the time of their last "request" as it's the most rudimentary way of knowing whether or not they're likely to respond to a message quickly if you were to send them one at that time. It's a fair point that we could base whether or not they've logged out into that calculation though. I'll have a look into that and to see how I can improve it to make it more accurate.
