but what about the last albums in musicians' careers? Countless times i've heard the same phrase "they were good in their younger days but their later stuff is inferior".
I dedicate this topic to the best farewell albums by musicians who have recorded more than one album.
I'll kick off with Frank Zappa's last album, The Yellow Shark. It's very different than his earlier stuff recorded with Mothers. Even though it is not as critically acclaimed i think it's one of his best albums and still to this day one of the most underrated albums of the decade.
